Eagles Manor II

This 44-unit apartment living community for low-income seniors included an 8,000 square foot addition and a 27,000 square foot remodel. The remodel joined existing studio apartments into large, livable one-bedroom apartments. Every feature was designed to be elderly-friendly from plug-ins, night lights, and counter heights to the location of light switches. The entire unit was made ADA accessible.
Energy efficient and environmentally friendly features were added such as Energy Star appliances, high level insulation in ceilings and walls, low water use toilets, recirculation pumps on hot water heaters, low energy building, and low E windows.
The addition of large public gathering areas and entertainment centers as well as large, beautiful external public gathering areas creates a residential feel. A thorough PAR (preliminary architectural report) was completed prior to implementation which aided the client in maximizing space and resources. Dale Nelson responsible for work totaling $4.3 million.
